Currently, gift cards can only be redeemed in Mexico and Colombia by residents of Mexico and Colombia, respectively, 18 years of age or older.

What are ViX gift cards and where can they be purchased?

You can use ViX gift cards to pay for your ViX premium subscription or give them as gifts to family and friends. ViX gift cards can be purchased at various physical and online retailers. Gift cards can be used on existing subscriptions, do not expire, are non-refundable (except as permitted by applicable law), and cannot be used on any other third-party services.

Can I buy ViX gift cards online?

Yes, you can purchase ViX gift cards at the various physical and online locations listed below.

No, you can pay for the ViX premium subscription only using a gift card.

How do I redeem my ViX gift card?

Please go to vix.com/canjear Once there, you will need to create an account or log in if you already have one. Then, enter your code and confirm the information. If you are a ViX Free user, you will be redirected to the welcome page. If you are a ViX Premium user, you will be taken to your account page.

Can I use ViX gift cards for partial payments?

Yes, existing ViX Premium customers who pay their subscription through direct billing in Mexico and Colombia can add a gift card to their account and pay all or part of the remaining balance on their annual or monthly plan. When redeeming a gift card, an amount equal to the outstanding balance will be deducted at the next renewal of your plan before being charged to your credit or debit card.

Are these cards usable on all platforms (web, mobile app)?

Currently, gift cards can only be redeemed on the ViX mobile or desktop website.

How can I check the balance on my card?

If you are a ViX Premium user, you will be able to see the available balance on your gift card by logging into the "My Account" section.
If you are a ViX Gratis user and you chose to pay with a card at the time of redemption, the total value of the card will be applied to the account, leaving the card with a balance of 0.
Please note that free users who convert to premium by using a gift card will receive an email confirmation of the transaction.

Can I redeem multiple gift cards?

Yes, you can redeem multiple gift cards, and the value will remain in your ViX wallet, being deducted at the time of billing. You can follow the same process each time by going to vix.com/redeem or from “Mi cuenta” you will find an entry point that says “Reload Gift Card.”

What should I do if my card doesn't work?

Do ViX Gift Cards have an expiration date?

No, gift cards do not have an expiration date. You can use them whenever it suits you best!

Can I get a refund on gift cards?

No, unless required by applicable law. Once a gift card is applied to an account, you can view ViX as a Premium user until the subscription ends.

Can gift cards be redeemed for promotional offers?

ViX Gratis users who convert to premium users with a gift card are not eligible for promotional offers.

ViX Premium users who paid for their subscription through direct billing will be able to pay all or part of the remaining balance on their annual or monthly plan (even under a promotional offer).

What are the amounts available?

Where can I see my remaining balance and the end date of my subscription?

Free users who have used a card to become premium users can see the date until which they will have access to the content in three places:

• At the moment of redeeming the card, on the summary/confirmation page, they will be informed of the service period.
• By email, where they will receive correspondence with this information.
• In the "My Account" section (web only), where they will find this information.

Current premium subscribers who redeem a gift card will be taken to "My Account" at the time of redemption. Once there, they will see the total balance of the gift card.

Can existing Premium customers pay for their direct bill subscriptions with a ViX Gift Card?

Yes, any direct billing (debit/credit) in Mexico and Colombia will be able to add the balance of a gift card to your account, this balance will be used to cover the full amount if possible or a part of the user's subscription.

Can premium subscribers change their payment method from credit card to gift card?

At this time, premium subscribers cannot change their payment method from credit card to gift card. However, in Mexico and Colombia, customers who use direct billing with debit or credit cards can add the balance of a gift card to their account. Once redeemed, upon your renewal date, funds will be taken from the gift card balance first. Once gift card funds reach 0, you'll be charged on your credit/debit card once more unless you add more gift cards.

Are premium subscribers and OXXO Pay users allowed to change their payment method to redeem a gift card?

Subscribers using OXXO Pay, while their plan is in effect, will not be able to add a gift card to their account.

Could a gift card user switch to a direct billing subscription?

Of course! You can switch to a direct billing subscription, but you'll need to wait until your current gift card subscription has expired. Once this is done, we will be happy to help you with the transition.
